哈哈，找到了，一个最不可能的工作，Assistant professor, Tenure！哈哈，仰天长啸中......

 

 

我有一个同事叫Patrick,其实算是我的老板了，很是和蔼和可爱。星期一去动手术了，今天一来看见posted的他的email:

Just a note to say that I survived surgery. I am recuperating at home, just laying around reading.

 

Hope you are well, and unflooded.

 

My Mom's house flooded, my youngest brother totaled his car, youngest sister's husband fell and broke his collar bone, oldest sister's daughter was just hospitalized for an wisdom tooth related infection, next youngest brother is working round the clock because of market meltdowns and my other brother is heading back to Iraq. SO I'm doing okay.

 

哈哈！好可怜！背景资料：这两天下大雨，好多地方flooded，隔壁市政府的finance department的一个同事的父母还翘了，因为想要去救他们被淹的车。。。好多人家都flooded,更通常一些的地下室flooded。我家没有事！经济不好，好多人都加班了！仗还是在打，希望快点结束吧。 不过patrick同志的爸爸结了三次婚，有17个小孩的样子。。。哎， 家太大，不幸发生的机率也大。。。
